MICR JET is a MICR Reader integrated with an Ink Jet Receipt and Validation Printer. The MICR JET is designed specifically for processing financial and retail transactions. MICR JET's unique combination of reader and printer offers the user significant benefits through loss prevention, error reduction, and system design simplification. MICR JET can help fight fraud by identifying non-MICR checks which may be photocopied or laser printed. By analyzing the signal strength of the MICR line, MICR JET can identify marginally encoded checks which might also be fraudulent. MICR JET reduces transaction time through automated MICR line input-eliminating manual errors such as the entry of a wrong account number. Poorly encoded documents can be segregated for check striping. MICR JET also saves precious counter space with a small footprint which is one-half to one-third the size of the separate readers and printers required to duplicate MICR JET's unique functions. MICR JET requires just one PC port and is easier to install and support than a separate reader and printer.
